Vivaan Garg

Vivaan, a Grade 12 student at Vasant Valley School, is deeply passionate about Economics, Technology, and Social Entrepreneurship. He leads several initiatives, including waste management and the circular economy, and holds key roles such as Head of the Technology Council, Quiz Club, and Editor of the school Science Magazine. In Grade 9, he founded Ignite India to promote financial freedom for marginalized women, building a volunteer team and partnering with NGOs. They identified nearly 900 women for microloans, facilitating $50,000 in loans for 330 women, empowering them to start small businesses. Vivaan is also passionate about microfinance and public policy, having written a research paper on Microfinance in India.

Aaryan Agrawal

Aaryan Agrawal, a Grade 12 student at Vasant Valley School, brings creativity and strategic vision to Ignite India. He has founded NextGen91 to connect high school students with valuable workplace opportunities, blending learning with hands-on experience. As the creator of the AA Cricket YouTube channel, Aaryan has honed his skills in engagement and storytelling. His internships with GMR Sports, Masters Union, and Hatch Digital have provided practical experience in marketing and market research. As Head of Content Creation and Strategic Partnerships at Ignite India, Aaryan crafts compelling narratives, builds strategic partnerships, and contributes to empowering underprivileged communities.

Chaupal

Ignite India is dedicated to expanding credit access for impoverished women, enhancing the reach of microfinance across diverse demographic groups. Since partnering with Chaupal in August 2022, Ignite India has played a pivotal role in empowering underprivileged women in Delhi’s slums. Led by founder Vivaan, Ignite India has educated slum dwellers on government schemes and financial literacy, helping them navigate complex processes and access critical resources. With a team of 50 volunteers, they developed an inclusive scoring mechanism, identified over 850 potential microloan recipients, and facilitated loans for 330 women, totalling $50,000. This collaboration has significantly advanced financial inclusion and social change in Delhi’s slums.

Ekal Vidyalaya Foundation

In 2022, Ignite India partnered with Ekal Vidyalaya to empower rural communities through a comprehensive financial literacy initiative. Ekal Vidyalaya, known for its vast network providing free education in rural and tribal areas, joined forces with Ignite India to develop a curriculum tailored for rural women entrepreneurs. This booklet offers practical guidance on managing finances, understanding microloans, and leveraging government schemes. Distributed across Ekal’s extensive network, and available in over ten regional languages, the curriculum has reached thousands of women, integrating financial literacy into Ekal’s educational framework. This collaboration advances both organizations' missions, fostering sustainable economic growth and improving lives in marginalized communities.

Shikshalay

Ignite India has partnered with Shikshalay, an organization focused on uplifting disadvantaged urban children, to develop and implement a financial literacy curriculum aimed at empowering slum communities. Leveraging Shikshalay’s strong community presence, Ignite India has  conducted workshops on financial management, budgeting, and microfinance. The curriculum, distributed through Shikshalay’s network, has been pivotal in teaching slum residents how to manage finances and access poverty-alleviating government schemes. This collaboration has significantly enhanced both organizations’ impact, driving meaningful change in vulnerable urban communities
